Nine hundred miles and 6,500 feet in elevation is what it takes to get home. In the 50’s thousands of wild sockeye salmon returned to Redfish Lake near Stanley, Idaho. In the 90’s, due to dams, irrigation, pollution and natural selection, as few as five and often no salmon completed this journey home. Retracing this journey will be a self-supported kayak trip. All money raised from this trip will be donated to Idaho Rivers United and Save Our Wild Salmon.

Hello Bill-
Thank you again for fighting through the slack waters and traversing the obstacles (dams) to bring awareness to the Northwest. The spirits of the salmon that have struggled through this journey are with you.

Yo Bill - I hope those winds have died down some over there! Sounds like it's been pretty hellacious over there for the last few days, but keep up all your great work. I'm looking forward to meeting you in Portland in a few weeks.
